Gallop! The Game
Design Challenge:
For Rufus Butler Seder’s best-selling book Gallop!, we were challenged to design a gameplay experience that would integrate the enchanting scanimation feature in a meaningful and fun way that would delight toddlers and preschoolers.
Solution:
After understanding the mechanics of the scanimation feature and working with the production requirements, we integrated a classic paper-cut, latch technique to turn a miniature scanimation book into a randomizer. Open the door, what do you see? A turtle? Move the turtle along the path.
Favorite Moments:
Watching young toddlers and preschoolers pretend to be the winning animal at the end of the game.
